For me it's all the same. I could be wrong, though. I see that that "things" that fly like a plane are being referred to as UAVs, things that fly like helicopters are called drones. Would like to get educated myself on the proper term usage.

A drone is an unmanned aircraft or ship that is guided remotely or autonomously. UAV stands for Unmanned Aerial Vehicle, something that can fly without a pilot onboard.
