I got to see an EA-6 in person while deployed to Afghanistan when we were in Bagram back in 2006-2007. Parked in it's hanger and a few takeoffs and landings as the huts we would stay in before heading back out to resupply COP's, was nearby their hangar that they were housed in for maintenance.

A-6 suffered a compressor stall on start up. Pilot shut down and then tried to restart. Compressor stall a second time in which motor grenade causing blades to fly through the fuel tanks.
