The Daily Mirror has said one of the British soldiers who claimed Iraqi prisoners were being abused is to appear on television on Friday.
Editor Piers Morgan urged people to hear the soldier's testimony on ITV's Tonight and ignore ministers claiming photos printed in the paper are fake.

Defence minister Adam Ingram told MPs the pictures were not taken in Iraq.

And the newspaper group's shareholders are also feeling uneasy about the story, says the BBC's business editor.

Trinity Mirror shareholders in the US told BBC business editor Jeff Randall they had concerns about the ethical issues and the possible damage to the paper's reputation from the publication of the photographs.

Mr Morgan said: "Soldier C is going on British television tonight and I urge people to listen to his testimony and stop believing the government."

The regiment at the centre of the photo allegations were due to reveal more details about the investigation into the pictures' origins at a press conference on Friday.
