Self propelled mortar in Army's inventory. (Credits malaysiandefence)

Currently the army is seeking for 81mm mortar with mortar carrier ala Thales scorpion mortar on a 1-tonne truck. The difference is that these are for the infantry while the armored mortar carrier (as in pic) are for mechanized unit

Newly constructed FOB that could accommodate up to 6 helicopters at one time. It's expected that it will be home to the navy's planned utility helicopters although expect all service (including the police) to utilize the FOB as well (credits malaysiandefence)

Caesar SPH trials in Malaysia (credits ADVANCED DEFENCE SYSTEMS SDN BHD)

Among the trials conducted
>Firing Test, with both foreign & local stock ammunition.
>Obstacles Test, that includes driving on a steep slope, side step and fording test.
>Mobility (Endurance) Test > 2000km driving on Malaysian road.

Caesar is not unknown in Malaysia as the army had conducted tests on the the system on several occasions. With the cancellation of M109A5 contract it looks like Caesar would have good chance for Malaysian Army's new SPH programme

Interestingly, one of the first production hovercraft was tested in Malaysia's North Borneo, at the height of Malaysia-indonesia confrontation conflict
