Interesting hobbies and a plus if you have personal contacts. Do you have friends that served in Special Forces or experience yourself or do you just get info from the internet ? It is good to see that there are those that currently teach history about the war that so many seem to have forgotten. As a participant of this war, I appreciate all the exposure it deserves but only the truth please, never rewritten or revised for personal agendas or political correctness.
White House micromanagement had a lot to do with the direction and conduct and final analysis of our war and the eventual ceasefire and withdrawal of American combat forces in South VietNam. What some refer to as a military defeat was to me, not. A political defeat... yes, a defeat of American foreign policy in SE Asia... yes, the American people losing their will to continue the fight... yes, but a defeat by our military on the battlefields of VietNam...NO ! We won most of the battles of consequence but lost the final objective of a free and non-Communist South VietNam. But this was after the fact, long after American combat forces had left the country and only after both the U.S. and North VietNam decided to not hold the other side to the terms of the signed agreement. Enough from me, welcome here and please tell me about your experiences, if any, in Special Forces or military service.
