Since 1972, the Mirage 5COA have been the backbone of the Air Force, by 1990, with the arrival of the IAI Kfir, they underwent updating processes with technicians from Israel and Colombia and were renamed the Mirage 5COAM, until 2010, when they were retired from service after 38 years of uninterrupted flight defending the Colombian skies.

Training, Force, Tactics and Strategy are the primary concepts by which the Special Forces commandos of the Joint Special Operations Command of the Colombian Armed Forces will develop and apply during the Fuerzas Comando 2023 competition.
