The Canadian Army of tomorrow needs soldiers who are trained and ready in a crucial capability for modern and capable fighting forces: Joint Terminal Attack Controllers (JTAC). These soldiers are the link between ground forces and close air support – a complex skill that takes years to master.
Senior JTACs from across the Army have been training in Wainwright, Alberta. This high-level course allows experienced JTACs to instruct, supervise and assess the future candidates.

Soldiers from 3rd Battalion / 3e bataillon, The Royal Canadian Regiment took to the range on Ex GOTHIC WEAPON with representatives of the Land Equipment Support Cell and the Royal 22e Régiment to test mounting different weapon systems on various RAZR and LTV platforms to deliver direct fire support when and where it’s needed.
