The Canadian Army of tomorrow needs soldiers who are trained and ready in a crucial capability for modern and capable fighting forces: Joint Terminal Attack Controllers (JTAC). These soldiers are the link between ground forces and close air support – a complex skill that takes years to master.
Senior JTACs from across the Army have been training in Wainwright, Alberta. This high-level course allows experienced JTACs to instruct, supervise and assess the future candidates.
