In reply to ^^. No deaths, injured only. Below is update on injured airman.

MANILA - Surgeons had to amputate the right arm of a soldier who was injured when a Sokol chopper crash-landed in Tarlac, the military said Friday.
Brig. Gen. Edgard Arevalo, spokesperson of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), said Sgt. Byron Deomano is now recuperating at St. Luke's Hospital. Deomano was the chief aircrew when the helicopter crashed Thursday afternoon at the Colonel Ernesto Ravina Air Base, also known as Crow Valley.

Philippines Leans Towards Black Hawk and T129

The Philippines Air Force (PAF) has down-selected the Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk and the Turkish Aerospace Industries T129 ATAK for, respectively, its Combat Utility Helicopter (CUH) and attack helicopter programs. They were recommended by the Technical Working Group (TWG) set up by the PAF. However, the recommendation by the TWG is not an order confirmation and would require approvals by the Department of Defense.

US govt also are pushing for PAF to acquire Cobra Zulus since we are getting two Ex-Jordanian Cobras next year

A few months earlier, the president of the Philippines, Rodrigo Duterte, resigned from finalizing the contract for the purchase of 16 rotorcraft Bell 412 EPI, supplied by the Canadian company Canadian Commercial Corporation.
Then, the purchase of several other types of helicopters was considered - American S-70, Russian Mi-171, South Korean Surion and Italian-British AW139 were involved. Under the budget - 240 million USD - it was possible to buy 16 Bell machines, but only - for example - 10 Surions. He added that the initial price of S-70 also allowed to buy at most 10 helicopters, but eventually the manufacturer changed the offer, thanks to which the funds will allow to buy 16 machines.
Lorenzana (Philippines minister of defence) said that the American helicopters would, most likely, also be equipped with machine guns, but their main task would be "transport missions".
According to Philippines politics, the Russian offer was also attractive, which was taken very seriously.
The contract for the supply of 16 S-70 helicopters is to be signed at the beginning of next year.
Another recommendation of the Filipino defense ministry working group concerned the purchase of an attack helicopter. In this case, the ATA T129 produced in Turkey was selected. Lorenzana said that the funds will allow you to buy "less than ten machines of this type, maybe eight".

With my apologies to the practitioners of this religion, why is the veil completely different from other women? I have seen one similar to the ladies of Jordan, Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq and other countries in the area, could someone please explain to me?

White represents peace and purity. Female Muslim soldiers wear White Hijab whenever they are conducting humanitarian, medical, and other civil operations inside Muslim communities.

PHILIPPINE AIR FORCE SELECTS THE RAFAEL SPYDER AIR DEFENSE SYSTEM FOR ITS GBADS REQUIREMENTS

On Christmas Day,MaxDefense posted a hint in its Facebook page on the Rafael SPYDER air defense system, as photos from one of our community members was shared to us as early as 2 weeks ago. We did not post the photos back then as we thought it was only one of the product endorsements made to the Philippine Air Force which is quite normal in the past several months.

But addition confirmation from sources has finally been made available to us, and that the Philippine Air Force has officially selected the Rafael SPYDER (Surface-to-air PYthon and DERby) air defense system for its Ground Based Air Defense System (GBADS) acquisition project. Apparently, the selection was already passed to the Department of National Defense (DND) for negotiation and implementation of the procurement process vis-a-vis their counterparts with the Israel Ministry of Defense – International Defense Cooperation Directorate (SIBAT) and Rafael Advance Systems Ltd.
