On St Andrews Day 30th Nov, we remember those from Scotland who were killed during World War One. It is estimated that over 100,000 Scottish soldiers were killed throughout WW1. We will remember them.
Australian soldiers enjoying a swimming carnival 'somewhere in Europe' c.1918. This is at Rivery, on the eastern outskirts of Amiens, on the Somme Canal. The men are of the 9th Brigade AIF. Rivery was a popular "pleasure grounds" area, well-used by Australian ORs, banned from Amiens city.
