Armor unit from the 46th Airborne Brigade. The car tires are being carried by the tank crews in order to create an "improvised bridge" over asphalt roads which are not built to withstand the weight of armored vehicles.

National Guardsmen from battalion "Donbas" patrol an area around village Zolote-4 where the pilot force disengagement program took place. The troops remain on constant alert for Russian recon teams and have no faith in any agreements.

I personally hate these posts and usually wait for official ones. On this board, it doesn't matter, but one could easily imagine how unprofessional notifications of this type affect relatives of the fallen warriors. There are procedures to be followed, and the Ukrainian military requested 24-48 hours of silence many times in the past. Also, quite often mistakes do happen with such unauthorized posts especially in a multi-casualty environment.

Havrilyak died presumably of the suicide, which is listed as a non combat loss and reported to the family privately and the man on the photo which was originaly in the post of Kozitskiy is alive, just has the same name and a surname. Kozitskiy who is a newly appointed head of the regional administration simply wanted to get some hype playing off the peoples' feelings, but being icompetent that he is F up. UPD: source on the Havrilyak of 72nd. The vid is in Ukrinian though. That guy is the editor for Novinarnya news site which properly lists all casualties. Combat that is.

Nah, pretty much like any other place in the world with a local specifics. Politicians will always be politicians and the patriotism is one of their motives mostly when it suits them. However, it is not like it is unique to Ukraine as I've said already and it's not like I can't understand them. The other question is when they are trying to get some scores among the populace, but do it incompetently

2016, bringing back PM M1910 machine guns from the dead into the modern world (check out the sight)
For point defense, Maxims worked just fine. I also read multiple comments on the quality of HMGs that were retrieved from the storage made in the mid-to-late-1940s stating that yes, the technology is old, but the built quality is much higher than the Soviet stuff made in the 1980s.
