Hello all! Long time lurker, sometimes poster on mp.net. Was a Marine Reservist, and did some contractor work.
I discovered mp.net (and other things) when I stumbled upon my uncle’s open browser in 2003. Even though I was mostly a lurker, MP.net would become a staple of my life from middle school to when it eventually shut down. I loved the steady stream of military pics and updates about global matters. I used to say “if it wasn’t on mp.net, it never happened!”
That said, I’m totally stoked to have stumbled upon its spiritual successor in this site, and excited to see so many familiar names. Great job keeping this site up, and I hope it keeps on going!
