A fighter pilot died when he used his ejector seat while a plane was upside down sending him into the ground, an inquest heard.
Lt Cdr Martin "Jack" London's Harrier suffered engine failure shortly after take-off from RAF Wittering near Stamford, Lincolnshire, in 2002.

His colleague Lt Nathan Gray had ejected safely from the plane.

But by the time Lt Cdr London, 43, ejected the plane had rolled turning it upside down
