Hello I joined because having a father who served in the war, ( in Alaska ) and didnt want to talk much about it piqued my interest and I became facsinated by the lunacy of Germany being at war with the British empire, then attacking Russia and finally declaring war against the U.S. At that point defeat was inevitable and as barbaric as the Germans were not one German officer had the guts to walk up to Hitler and empty their bullets into him which would have brought the war to an early close. Sure they tried a number of times to kill him with arcane plans involving a bomb that would go off when he was nearby but that didnt work. The only attempt that had a chance was the 1944 bomb that blew up at a meeting but of course the oak table saved him. thank you
