Israel's Supreme Court has rejected an appeal by Palestinians aimed at preventing the army from demolishing hundreds of homes in the Gaza Strip.
The court lifted an order temporarily banning the military from destroying more homes after it demolished scores of buildings in the past few days.

Israel says the buildings have been used by Palestinians to attack troops.

More than 100,000 Israelis attended a rally on Saturday night calling for an Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip.

Early on Sunday, Israeli helicopters fired more missiles at targets in Gaza City.

They hit buildings used by Yasser Arafat's Fatah movement and the offices of a newspaper that has supported the Hamas militant group.

The blasts caused heavy damage to the buildings and several bystanders were reported wounded.
