200 years ago (1815) during the bloody battle at Quatre Bras, the actual prelude to Waterloo, Gemiouncourt looked almost the same as today.
It´s private lands, we could take picture only from the distance.
This entire area is ridged and laced with long narrow waves.
Quatre Bras, south of Waterloo, the crosroads between Namur-Nivelles and Waterloo-Charleroi.
If you happen to pass by, make a stop. There isn´t much left, only few monuments and small local museums, but the chilling atmosphere still remains.
