NUI DAT, SOUTH VIETNAM. 1968-02. SOME OF THE SEVENTY WEAPONS CAPTURED BY TROOPS OF THE ANZAC BATTALION DURING OPERATION COBURG ARE INSPECTED AT THE BATTALION'S NUI DAT BASE BY PRIVATES GEOFF STANFORD OF BELMORE, NSW (LEFT), AND MALCOLM GOULD OF SCOTTSDALE, TAS. THE OPERATION WAS HELD FIFTY MILES NORTH OF NUI DAT IN BIEN HOA PROVINCE AND WAS THE MOST SUCCESSFUL BY THE BATTALION, RESULTING IN NINETY VIET CONG OR NORTH VIETNAMESE TROOPS BEING KILLED BY THE UNIT.

Nui Dat, South Vietnam. September 1971. Pilots of 161 Independent Reconnaissance Flight based at Nui Dat have carried thousands of soldiers during their stay in Vietnam, hence this sign of a helicopter and the words `Cab Rank' outside their headquarters.
