Photos of our 121st Mascot, he was brought to Soc Trang as a young cub from Thailand when one of the early officers was transferred to Soc Trang. He was like a dog that loved to ride in the back of the jeep down the flight line. The higher up decided it best to ship him off to a zoo in the mid west USA. He lived in the zoo until he died of kidney failure sometime early 80s. He lived a very good life and probably lived a lot longer than he would have had he not been brought o Soc Trang.

A photo of the airfield in Monsoon Season. I call it an aircraft carrier, I did not photo it but a lot of people did over the years. The water would cover the living area at times and there would be at least 5 to 6 inches of water in the hoothes. Foot lockers floating around like wooden ships. It rained so hard the runoff ditch beside the runway just couldn't take off enough water to the canals in Soc Trang.
