John Ferguson ROBIN. Major, 57th Machine Gun Corps.
Born 24 April 1892 at Spencer Street, Holywood to Alexander and Martha Robin, nee Skillen of Holywood. Birth name registered as John Robin
1901 with his mother and sibling at the home of his grandparents Andrew and Ann Skillen, 59 Downshire Road, Holywood.
1911 residing with his parents (as Jack) and siblings at 19 Kinnegar Road, Holywood. Occupation aged 17, clerk at a Gas Company.
He married using the name John Ferguson Robin on the 3 February 1915 to Margaret Anne McKee at First Holywood Church, Holywood
Husband of Margaret Ann Robin, of Archville, Holywood, Co. Down.
Died at Casualty Clearing Station, (13th or 63rd) Ascq, France 29 November 1918 aged 26, after 4 years active service in Gallipoli, Salonica, Servia and France with the 10th Irish Division. His widow was awarded a gratuity 23 September 1919.
