WALTON Cuthbert George, Able Seaman, SS/1405 Royal Fleet Reserve (R.F.R./Chatham/B/7660), Royal Navy, HMS Europa. Died 11th December 1915 of dysentery at St Andrews Military Hospital, Malta, son of David and Sarah Jane. In 1901 he was living with his parents at Gosford, Oxfordshire. His father was a self employed hurdle maker. In 1911 he was Royal Naval Barracks, Chatham aged 22

He was born on the 23rd November 1887 at Bicester, Oxfordshire, occupation, footman. He joined the navy at HMS, Pembroke, Shore Barracks at Chatham on the 29th May 1906 and left on the 12th July 1906. His first ship was HMS Bedford 1st July 1906 to 5th November 1906. On 29th May 1911 he was transferred to the Royal Fleet Reserve, Chatham as Able Seaman, B7660. His last ship was HMS Europa which he joined on the 1st October 1915 and he died at Military Hospital St Andrews of Dysentery.
(Wills and Admin, Ancestry) - He lived at The Oxford Arm, Kirtlington, Oxfordshire died at St Andrews Military Hospital, Malta. His effects went to his father, David, licensed victualler.
BRAY Richard Francis. Private 20939, Worcestershire Regiment, 7th December 1916 at Malta. Born and lived at Smethwick, Staffordshire. He was the son of Frederick who was granted a war gratuity on the 8th March 1916, revised on the 19th August 1919.
