Henry LEDGERTON. Private 9922, E Coy, 1st Lancashire Fusiliers. Born 1885 in West Derby, Lancashire to John Henry and Mary Ellen, nee Falls. 1901 residing with his parents and siblings at 58 Mill Lane, Stoneycroft, West Derby occupation tin smith, enlisted 26th October 1903. Stationed at Lower St Elmo Barracks, Malta. Died at St Elmo 15th September 1905 aged 20 years and 6 months, cause not known. His siblings Mary, brother to Agnes, Janet, Eliza and Elias who were all granted part share of a gratuity granted 17th October 1905. Memorial erected by the Non Commissioned Officers and Men of E Company, 1st Lancashire Fusiliers.
