David Caird LAWSON. Gunner. Number 4 Company, Royal Garrison Artillery was found drowned at Tigne Point 1st October 1906 aged 25 years a 4 months. Erected in affectionate remembrance by the Officers, N.C. Officers and Gunners of his company. Born at Baniff, Scotland, occupation tailor enlisted 14th May 1901, brother of Alexander, Robert, Elizabeth, Jane, Jemima and Mary who were all, except Robert, granted a war gratuity 7th November 1906. Robert was granted a gratuity on the 27th April 1910.

David LAWSON, Gunner, No.4 Coy R.G.A., his body was found drowned near Tigne. He had been missing since 28th September 1906 and found in the evening of 1st October 1906. Seems he was sitting on a rock and a big wave washed him into the sea. Aged 27 years
