Warfare HAMAS attack on Israel, Oct 2023 & Iran’s Proxies.

The MOP is 30,000 lb. The maximum cargo capacity of the C-130 is 42,000 lb. The cargo bay would have to be reinforced, the bomb has to be put into some sort of cradle and bomb + cradle need to be able to slide out of the back somehow. All of the modifications and customisations would need to be done under 12,000 lb ...

it could be done, Pilot would be issued with some mossad balls, and your C130 would go to a museum afterwards, as it would be knackered. But if that's the only thing you have, then for this mission you would.

But I don't think this will be needed.

I think it would take more than one MOP. Probably several. But who knows, we are all just guessing.
Difficult to say, the characteristics of the MOP are secret, the public data is mainly based on guesswork by scaling up data from smaller bombs, publicly stated weight (which might be a deception) and assumed velocity. If that thing gets a rocket motor strapped to it that wasn't declassified then it's going a lot faster than assumed which throws all public calculations out the window. If the penetrator is a brand new design and/or made out of a new revolutionary material all public calculations go out the window. If it's a combination of multiple unknown factors ...

You don't spend more on black research projects than most countries do on their armed forces for no reason.

FM Sa'ar has spoken to the Norwegian ambassador and he has confirmed that a hand grenade was thrown into his garden.

Yes, a GBU-57 Massive Ordnance Penetrator (MOP), also known as a "mop," could potentially be dropped from a C-130 aircraft, though it's not its primary delivery platform. While the C-130 can carry the weight and size of the MOP, its lower speed and altitude compared to dedicated bomber aircraft like the B-2 Spirit would affect the weapon's impact force and penetration capability.

From google search fwiw. So your right. This article may be a repost.
Israel has plenty of C-130s....some even have Entebbe camo paint. All they need is a big MOP to roll out the back ramp pointy end 1st.

Meanwhile in Eurabia:

Little support for Piri motion for full arms embargo on Israel

A motion by Kati Piri of GroenLinks-PvdA to temporarily impose a full arms embargo on Israel has received little support in the House of Representatives. Parties that have long advocated sanctions against Israel because of the violence in Gaza, such as D66 and Volt, also opposed the proposal.
GroenLinks-PvdA is a merger between the Greens and Labour and is the largest left wing party by far. The measure was specifically meant to reduce the available number of Iron Dome missiles and other interceptors by blocking the export of components.

35 votes in favor, 99 against.

Cluster munitions on a populated area and the deliberate targeting of a hospital, monstrous.

Not just any hospital either, a super-hospital that in the event of a major incident can hold and treat patients from other parts of the country as well. Iran is making conditions so that more people die as a result of their attacks, a real terrorist regime.
TBF, with their missiles CEP at 300m-1000m , the hospital is not their intended target. Iran must aim at a school and accidently hit a hospital.

Not sure using a B61 would be that much more useful or would, even more so, send the right message.

Dropping several GBU57 however still remains a significant show of force while staying in the conventional field.

I don't see much added value in using an (airburst) nuke either. To me it looks like tit for tat rhetoric towards the Russians.

Technically, it can burrow a little, through kinetic force and such, but nowhere near a normal GBU (perhaps like some of the smaller ones).

So past impact a few meters deep into the rock of the mountain, the blast would blow the top off (whatever is above the bomb) and shake the whole thing. Perhaps a few collapses will occur, but I would assume the Iranians reinforced whatever structures they built inside that mountain, considering how important this project is to them.

Let's say, 2 to 4 GBU57 to clear the path, and then a low yield B61 to finish up.

But using a nuke would send the wrong message, imho.

...

One look at the tunnels build by Iran to protect their missile systems would suggest that it's mayhbe 50/50 that they have done a good job at protecting it. Missile tunnels with no airflow pipes and no sprinkler systems!
