When I was a child I asked my dad to buy me ONE 1:18 scale diecast model car. Just one. He never did. He did by me a plastic 1:24 scale car. Not what I wanted. In Christmas 2009 my lovely wife bought me four 1:18 scale diecast models. Since then I've amassed the cars in the photo below. I just got the #3 Goodwrench Dale Earnhardt Chevy Monte Carlo yesterday from ebay....:D...I'm real happy with this total collect. And it will grow.;)

The weather was freezing today .. yet the snow melted away .. hardly a drop could be seen when i headed home after work

The Five Sullivan Brothers statutes at the Museum in Waterloo IA.
Sullivan Brothers Iowa Veterans Museum - Grout Museum District

Read their story;
The five Sullivan brothers were World War II sailors who, serving together on the USS Juneau (CL-52), were all killed in action on its sinking around November 13, 1942.

My wife posted this photo on facebook a few years ago with this caption;
"Happy Veterans Day to my Husband Gerry who served 20 years on active duty."
