A couple of "reverse purchases", let's say.

I uprooted a tree a few weeks ago and kept the roots, for I thought they looked kind of nice and interesting.

Let them to dry off, then worked on them a bit. I mostly applied lacquer and wax. The idea being to have them displayed through some "mise-en-scène" as "living objets d'art".

Anyway, some friend of mine who is an art collector roaming galleries and other similar places got me in touch with one of his compadres who is into organic art.

Long story short, got to sell pieces of wood at an exorbitant price to some pedantic douche.



And also pictures, mostly of birds, though I didn't sell them, offered to a friend to use as illustrations for a book.

I took my father's old Nikon FM full manual camera that he used back in the 80s to take photos of me drooling over myself. Since the "Afghan girl" was taken with a Nikon FM2 and a Nikkor 105mm f2,5 I thought it would give me room to grow as a photographer and went online shopping for a lens. Now learning the ropes in manual film shooting - terribly fun so far at least.

Bought from a Distillery down in Derbyshire . Priced very decent they were both are 53.3 Vol light coloured is a finished in a bourbon barrel , other is finished in a Port wine cask
