Dear all,

I would like to devote this thread to photos and videos of Slovak Police, Customs and Prison and Judicial Guard Corps. Photos of our army special forces I will post to the existing thread.

The official sites of the above mentioned forces often post photos of special units on their websites. I frequent them and as soon as there are new ones, I will in turn post them here.

Will post some photos as soon as I get home.

Here is my favorite gallery made public last month. The description says it's a training of Prison and Judicial Guard Corps riot units at Lešť. Lešť is a military area used for training by all of our armed forces. The units are from prisons in Ružomberok, Sučany, Želiezovce, Levoča and Košice-Šaca.

By the way, the PJGC website posts most of the stuff on special units. Basically every week there is a new gallery available. You are going to see a lot of these guys.

Don't get confused by the weapons. Our special units nowadays use mostly Hekler & Koch, as you will see in other photos. The weapon on photos is assault rifle model 58. It's a solid weapon, I think. It's now used mostly during trainings.

I suggest you read this book. One chapter is devoted exclusively to the most successful actions of Slovak Lynx commando. Other chapters are good reading too.

Don't get confused by the rating. I have absolutely no complaints to the book. I think the author did a fine job.

Thanks! I like the weapon too. But you rarely see it "live". The guys from PJGC, when they are escorting dangerous criminals to the court (this is when you see them in the news), they always have what I believe is MP7A1 and UMP submachine guns. Correct me if I'm wrong.

By the way, that's Slovakia's most notorious criminal - maffia boss Mikuláš Černák. He has murdered so many people that they would fill an entire bus. I think he will spend the rest of his life behind bars. He's still coming to courts, because of all the different crimes he commited in the past.
