Mostly focused on tabletop games, such as WH40k and the old Rackham Confrontation.

Still have a few of these minis left unpainted, or painted but in need of some rework.

Really enjoyed working on them. They were incredibly detailed for the scale, and way more than any of the minis sold by Games Workshop.

I haven't really given up on painting, though that elongated hiatus is starting to feel like it and I should kick myself to go back to, but I have given a go to building "real" scenery.

And while still in the 40k universe, some of the campaigns described in the lore books (the Siege of Vraks for instance) are pretty interesting and offer themselves to mix various influences. For instance trench warfare and such.

Is the light dimm, or are them painted more on the grimdark side than what is on their box art ?

I have bought about 3-4 boxes of various Warhammer stuff, i have yet to open or paint them :) But during the summer months i don't feel like it. Come autumn and Halloween season, i have a box of Fantasy skeletons i want to paint.

Oh I definitely try to paint them in a more dirty and grimdark way than the way they are usually promoted. :D

Not a big fan of the clean and shiny attires. So I try working on rust, dust, corrosion, stains and such.

That's some nice work Ivan.

Speaking of Grimdark, I'm thinking of giving this technique try next time I have to paint some flesh.

The results looked very bruised and battered. Ideal for some Chaos Cultists or pretty much anything loved by Father Nurgle.

Ah thanks, I'll give a try. Eventually. :D

Flesh and similar materials aren't my favorite thing to paint. Perhaps because "industrial" metal is easier to paint when aiming at a messy look.

These methods look very interesting however, might be very useful to paint leather coats and dirty trench-attires.

That would also have been my question. A little too much ‘umbra’ for my taste ;-) But hats off all the same. I've only been collecting and building the ‘Easy Click’ kits with my grandchildren for a few years now... So I think everyone who builds something is at least one step ahead of me ;-)

Yeah, the lighting for the pictures isn't great. it is either to strong and blows the colors, or too dark and... well... we can't see anything.

It is something I need to improve.

Are these guys from the "Death korps of Krieg"?

Yes, they are.

Unofficially, that is. Get them from Etsy and the quality is pretty good.
I can understand that, the prices from Games Workshop are beyond good and evil... But that's the only thing that has stopped me from buying another ‘modelling construction site’. I already have a few thousand euros worth of unbuilt kits lying around here (collected over my whole life)
