The Ministry of Defence has admitted liability over the death of a soldier who died at Deepcut Barracks in Surrey.
Warrant Officer Adrian Smith, 41, of the Royal Logistics Corps, died from a heart attack in 1999 after falling ill following an 8km combat fitness test.

His widow Margaret, from Cirencester, Gloucestershire, believed Army doctors should have picked up his weak heart.

A separate review is being carried out into the deaths of four other soldiers at the barracks between 1995 and 2002.

Regarding the death of WO Smith, an MoD spokesman said: "After consideration the MoD has admitted liability."
