I want know much information about item (red line area) in this picture!

Please help me find information about it!

P/s: I only know some information, only Marines (In Vietnam People's Navy) use it. Nearly, it use for Military engineering when set ferry cross river.
In Vietnam, name's "float Piece". I don't know for China, Soviet Union or USA make.

I think Vietnam Army replica it from equipment another army country. Or it's item aid from another country. So, can you help me find some pictures similar about it on around the world (China, Soviet, US)! Please!

^^ @soldier_peace , I can't find anything about them in any other armed forces, I think these are a Vietnamese approach to helping soldiers stay afloat. Other armed forces use life jackets of different design.
