That was a decision of the UK's. Strangely enough, it was a conservative government that, in its infinite wisdom, decided the percentage of cars with combustion engines on British roads should be reduced to zero by 2035.
 
I watch alot of US custom tv shows and wonder what they will do with that creativity. These are the last of the hand skilled that can take a sheet of metal and form it by eye say for a wheel hub then make the reverse piece all identical all by eye and feel. Or matching the body for 50' s and 60's and all those curves. Will people think its still cool without a proper engine.

Whilst I agree with the general tenor, it needs to be said: global warming is one thing. Plastic is another. Moore kind of discredits himself when he suggests that plastic waste isn't a huge environmental issue. It seems obvious enough that a plastic layer bigger than some countries covering our oceans is a huge problem.

The one thing Greenpeace doesn't get right is they're dumping it at the wrong door. 90% of the global seaborne plastic pollution originates in ten rivers which are all in Asia and Africa (Yangtze, Indus, Yellow River, Hai He, Ganges, Pearl, Amur, Mekong, Nile and Niger).
 
I found Michael´s Moore documentary very interesting...engaged unfortunately in the "ungrowth" philosophy, but to be clear we must be more conservative in the use of our ressources.

And the debunking of this BS tech from which some people like Gore are making millions is a bold and iconoclastic approach that Moore does very well.
 
Lately have been researching off road vehicles and the demise of the diesel engine which is inherently sooty thus requiring an eco filter that only works at high temp to burn off the soot. Which is inherently bad for engines. ECO engines proving to be finicky for maintenance and shortened life expectancy leading to conclude we should go to clean petrol.

These days they are already calling for the end of the fossil engine. They being those that have no other good options.

What will they do.. a engine ban like they did with self loading rifles. There are many more engine owners though to have to politically contend with..
 
These Euro regulations for emissions compliance have really stuffed up the diesel. A while back I posted on NZ farms sold to foreigners turned into carbon credit pine forests . Now with higher carbon credit prices some of those are just left and never harvested. Resulting in no benefit to NZ. How the hell this greeny taxy govt is allowing this to happen under overseas investment rule that its suppose to improve when foreigner buys here is a perfect example of their idiocracy.
70% do not trust their Monty Python handling of covid at the border. Does this prove god exists? Because it could only be by the grace of god that these twits are still running the place. I do not understand the popularity of the lefty govts. Of course its only until they innevitably run economies into the ground that their voters take a good look in the mirror and see sheep.

Small settlement in NZ Ohau 27 houses got wiped out by a fire. So its in winter as in snowed recently. Surrounded by cute wild pine trees and the farmers had been forced to remove stock by Govt of the near -by land so of couuse the place has instead grown lots of tinder dry grass plus scrub regrowth. Yup global warming.

One thing doesn't rule out the other. Increased growth during summer might have occured due to more favourable weather conditions. So you have one effect that got enhanced by another.
