New Camo ??

Honestly? I can no longer tell. Even now, 6 years into the war, Ukrainians look like German military circa 1944-45. Could be a new pattern, could be a private purchase, could be a combination of all the above. I try to outfit "my guys" into multicam everything from Day 1. However, when in combat zone, each Ukrainian soldier wears the best he has in his wardrobe. They are called "pokemons" because one soldier can have 3 or 4 camouflage patters on him at the same time depending on "his" inventory. Special forces units or recon team do try to camo coordinate. Russian side is obviously uniformly dressed in digital flora pattern.

Another area where Ukraine is "retarded" compared to say, Russia. However, there are a few gems there. I'm really fond of P1G-Tac. Although, some of my acquaintances complained about the durability. P1G tactical

Most of the guys that I know do wear and quite happy about cheaper (I would say the "better" Condor level) brand M-Tac. Internationally, they sell on Amazon. The majority of their products are Made in China. M-Tac on Amazon

Some of the guys in special forces that I work with wear Ukrainian brand Velmet, Mawka camo pattern.

Velmet

The prices are on high side, though. But, apparently 140th Special Operations center quite fond of them.

As for run of the mill, "Ukrainian pixel", I have no idea where can it be bought.

January 16th is a Memoriam Day in Ukraine in honor of the "Cyborgs" the brave defenders of the Donestk International airport who held out for 242 days. Numerous Ukrainian efforts to lift the siege ended in failure. Troops from the last rotation endured a horrible faith being crushed and buried alive as the Russian combat engineers were able to blow load bearing structures in the new terminal towards the end of January 2015. The fighting for Donetsk International Airport became known in the West thanks to the work of Russian freelance journalist, Sergei Loyko who spent a lot of time with the Ukrainian troops towards the end of the siege. Most of the photos below have been taken by Sergei while on assignment from Los Angelse times newspaper.

berkut76 you always post Ukrainian casualties. If you have them can you give us the Russian casualty numbers?..Thanks! I can't find them anywhere...

The war goes on. Another plane load of heavily wounded troops arrived in Kyiv. Straight to ICU. As usual, common folks buy medications for the troops. "Volunteers" who run fund raising campaigns provide receipts for the purchased merchandise.

Classified info. and like I've stated before, I don't care. I've read an interview with one of the high ranking collaborators, and he openly stated that "we don't care. In Ukraine the whole villages stand on their knees along the road, but this is not our way" and them he mentioned some Russian proverb to that matter.

Automated translation:

This war has already claimed 13 thousand lives. In Ukraine there is a list of dead soldiers. Why in the Donbass there are no intelligible numbers and a list of killed militias?

People of Donbass are more destructive. With us, no one will meet the whole village on the lap of the deceased. Our attitude towards death is simple, closer to the east. As in the saying: "Maxim died, well, to hell with him." We are ready to die without pathos, as a matter of course. Preparedness for death is historically inherent in us. After all, the mining tradition is always a risk. Each descent into the mine may be the last. So there is no such book, people do not consider it necessary. And it’s important for the enemy to understand this.

we are ready to die without pathos
