A very good segment on Ukrainian replacement for SVD, Zbroyar UR-10. Officially adopted at beginning of 2018. Unfortunately, no subtitles. Good training footage, interviews with snipers (including a female one). Obviously, due to cost (Western components, chambered for NATO .308) only select few who distinguished themselves in combat, passed all the training and exams will get the rifle.

The Wolfsangel is an ancient runic symbol that was believed to be able to ward off wolves. Historically, it appeared in Germany in many places, ranging from guidestones on the sides of roads to heraldic use in the coats of arms of various towns; there is even a German city called Wolfsangel.

OK, let's refer to its name National Guard Special Forces Regiment "Azov". From their standpoint, it's part of ancient Teutonic / Viking warrior culture / ideology to which the unit members subscribe to, Valhalla, and etc. etc. etc. Here is my personal take. By and large "Azov" purged itself of an extreme right wing servicemen and, honestly, persons with long criminal rap sheets. It's very disciplined, rank and file is motivated, and is far better educated than the rest of Ukrainian military units from all other government branches. There is no evidence of alcohol and illegal drug abuse in this unit. Once again, they are very, very efficient in combat. Given all of the above, I'll leave the politics, unit members' views discussion when the war is over.

My latest project. "tactical" GoPro Sessions 5 With Alfa recently getting Mohoc cameras, I have decided that another special forces unit would benefit more from my "creation". Hence, the new owners, 3rd Special Forces regiment. The camera was supplied with tons of accessories allowing for it to be mounted on helmet (both, NVG shroud and side rails) as well as on picantiny rails on the weapon of choice.

Photos are from Ukraine.

...and Ukraine provided a lot of ,,Ostruppen" for the Battle of Vercors for example... Seriously do you really think everybody in Ukraine hated the Wehrmacht when they came into Ukraine after getting starved by Stalin during the holodomor from 1932-33 ( 3,5 million dead minimum)? Just take these facts and than think about that discusting symbol again.

Azov uses the Wolfsangel of organisation Werwolf which was a stay behind organization of the SS ( didn't work out so well).

more from our favorite "vikings". Once again, tell what you want, but "Azov" managed to stabilize the situation around the Svitlodarsk bulge.
