Photo compliment: Gordus.

NOTE:
red arrow points to officer wearing the U.S. Army Ranger Tab and U.S. Army Airborne Tab. Not uncommon for foreign personnel to attend the U.S. Army Ranger course. However, if you attend Airborne, you are awarded a parachute badge, not a tab.
GDFofficer.jpg

*not sure what the Georgian military uniform regulations state, but as for the U.S. Army, the Airborne Tab is not an individual award. It is not worn alone, this tab is worn in conjunction with Shoulder Sleeve Insignia (shoulder patch) to denote a unit's status. i.e. 82nd Airborne Division, 173rd Airborne Brigade Combat Team, 4th Brigade (Airborne) 25th Infantry Division (Light) etc.
Curious, does he wear the full color versions of the tab on his formal uniform?

Hey haze99,

Yeah it is irregular but I guess you won't get hazed there over such things. Otherwise, there are uniform regulations and guidelines, and usualy you'd see wings, badges or at least the associated unit tab. Yes, colored ones are worn with the dress uniform.

Copy-pasted shamelessly from sof thread.

Sof special recon, rapid response and evac exercise with Rangers, part of Trojan Footprint 21. Two units of the SO Battalion participate in the exercise. One is currently deployed in Romania, another remains in Georgia, one of the 5 host nations.
