Sergeant 8979 William Henry GINN, D.C. M 1st Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers killed in action 4th July 1916. He was the son of William James and Elizabeth of 25, Woodlee Street, Mount Pottinger, Belfast and the brother of Robert who also fell. In 1911 he was stationed in Hong Kong with the 1st Royal Irish Fusiliers.
He is commemorated on his parents memorial at Dundonald Cemetery, County Down, Northern Ireland. He is at rest at Hamel Military Cemetery, Beaumont-Hamel, Somme, France.
