GARDNER Thomas. Petty Officer 1st Class, 126317 Royal Navy on HMS Coningsby. Born 21st November 1868 at Chelsea Middlesex enlisted 14 February 1884 on HMS Impregnable as Boy 2nd Class. Died 5th September 1916 aged 47 years. in Royal Naval Hospital Bighi Malta of uraemia. (A raised level in the blood of urea and other nitrogenous waste compounds that are normally eliminated by the kidneys). His friend Emma Edwards of 26 Liverpool Road, Walworth Road, London S.E. was informed of his death. At rest in Plot C Grave 323 Capuccini Naval Cemetery, Malta.
