Extended Description: BURLEY Thomas Charles,Private 240678 1/5th Leicestershire Regiment killed 23rd September 1918, 21. Buried near Lens,France. Son of of Thomas Edward and Lucy of 18, Park Avenue, Long Eaton, Nottinghamshire and brother of Samuel Ernest who also fell in 1917.

Commemorated on his parents' memorial at St James churchyard, Normanton on Soar, and is buried at Roisel Communal Cemetery

BURLEY Samuel Ernest, Samuel Ernest, Australian Imperial Forces killed 10th October 1917, 27. Sergeant 496, 20th Australian Infantry, son of Thomas Edward and Lucy of 18, Park Avenue, Long Eaton, Nottinghamshire, and brother of Thomas Charles who also fell in 1918.

Commemorated on his parents' memorial at St James churchyard, Normanton on Soar, Leicestershire and on the Menin Gate Memorial, Ypres, Belgium
