Captain Samuel THOMPSON, Merchant Navy, formerly of S.S.Castlehill. Died 8th September 2002 aged 80. also in memory of all his ship mates, SS Castlehill, killed in action 2nd March 1941. She was scuttled by her crew, who were rescued by the Allied warships, after being bomb by Heinkel He 111 aircraft of Kampfgeschwader 27, 10 miles east by south of Minhead, Somerset. It was an armed cargo ship. He is at rest in Ballyhalbert Cemetery, County Down, Northern Ireland.

BOYD, William. Died aged 56. He was the husband of Margaret Boyd, of Portmuck, Island-Magee, Co. Antrim, Northern Ireland.
BRUEN, Martin. Lamp trimmer died aged 40. He was the son of Redmond and Margaret Bruen, of Rosses Point, County Sligo, Eire.
FEE, Alexander. Fireman died aged 29. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Fee, of Killyleagh, Co. Down, Northern Ireland.
FERGUSON, William. Able Seaman died aged 19. He was the son of James and Martha Ferguson, of Belfast, Northern Ireland.
HOULIHAN, Frank. Died aged 55.He may have been the son of John and Elizabeth who in 1911 were living at 7, Clenagh, County Clare, Ireland.
McCORMICK, George. Died age 26, he was the son of George and Isabella McCormick, of Killyleagh, Co. Down, Northern Ireland.
McLOUGHLIN, Robert. Died aged 19, he was the son of George and Elizabeth McLoughlin, of Glenarm, Co. Antrim, Northern Ireland.
WALLACE, Bell Chief Engineer Officer aged 45. He was the husband of Margaret of Carrickfergus, County Antrim, Northern Ireland.
