CAMERON John Stewart, Trooper, 13/567, Auckland Mounted Rifles, New Zealand Expeditionary Force. Died of his wounds, 17th August 1915 aged 31. Some notes for his army records held with the New Zealand Archives. He joined up on the 28th August 1914. Born in Scotland about 1884 and living at Aria Te Kuiti, New Zealand at the time of his enlistment. He was by occupation a Sawmill Proprietor. His next of kin was his father Hugh Cameron of Fernside Street, Fillans, Perthshire, Scotland, formerly of 136, Gilmore Place, Edinburgh, Scotland, his mother was called Jane. He embarked for the Egypt on the 16th October 1914 and later for the Balkans. He was shot and wounded in the chest in the Dardanelles and sent to a hospital in Malta where he died of a gunshot wound to a lung.
HODGE Benjamin Thomas Lance Corporal, 1006, 4th Battalion, Australian Infantry. Died of his wounds, 16th August 1915, aged 21 years. The son of the late John Hodge and Emma Hodge, of Holcombe, Church Street, Burwood, New South Wales.
STEPHENSON Thomas Wilfred. Private, 2236, 5th Battalion, Australian Infantry. Died of his wounds, 14th August 1915, aged 25 years. The son of George and Elizabeth Stephenson. Born in Leith, Scotland.
