Henry Stagg BYERS

BYERS Henry Stagg. Lieutenant, M.R.C.S., M.B., L.R.C.P., Royal Army Medical Corps, died 3rd February 1916, aged 44 years. He was the son of Joshua Stagg and Ann Byers and was the husband of Eliza Jackson Byers, nee Cook , of The Abbey Cotage, Street. Bees, Cumberland. (Wills and Admin, Ancestry.) He lived at Cleator Gate, Cleator, Cumberland and died on the 3rd February 1916 at St George's Hospital, Malta. His effects went to his wife, Eliza Jackson Byers. They were married in 1897 at Chorlton, Lancashire and in 1911 he was a Medical Practitioner in Cleator, Cumberland. Inscribed on his stone. "J'Espere Mieux."
