Extended Description
South Irish Division, Royal Artillery.
To the memory of Non Commissioned Officer and Men of No7 Battery, 1st Brigade, South Irish Division, Royal Artillery who died at Malta. A.D. 1882.
This stone is erected by the Officers, Non Commissioned Officers and Men of the Battery as a token of their respect.

Trumpter, Jeptha BRAZIER, Royal Artillery. Born 1860 in Halstead, Essex to William and Hannah. On the 20 March 1861 he was baptised in the parish church of Halstead, name given was Septha George Brazier. In 1861 and 1871 he was residing with his widowed mother and siblings at 20 Trinity Road, Halstead . Died in Mallta 18th June 1882, aged 21 years.

Gunner, John LECKEY, 17th August aged 30 years.
Gunner, William WELCH, 19th October aged 27 years.
Gunner, George HOPPER, 2nd November aged 34.

All at rest in Pieta Military Cemetery, Malta. Plot 02 Row 13 Grave 09
