GOLDSTRAW James Sidney. Leading Steward SLX773882 Royal Navy on HMS Newcastle. Born 5 September 1927 died 8 September 1952 aged 25. He was the grandson of William Goldstraw, son of Lilian McCarnwell. His fiancee Ella Mc Brearty of Rothsey died in 14 November 1952 He is at rest in Yokohama War Cemetery, Japan He is commemorated on his grandfather's memorial in Oakamoor Memorial Free Churchyard, Oakamoor, Staffordshire also on Kingsley War Memorial, Staffordshire. At rest in Yokohama War Cemetery, Japan.
