SMITH William, Pte 17291, 9th North Staffordshire Regiment killed in action 11th October 1917 age 34. Son of Thomas and Julia Smith of Hanbury and husband of Ivy [now Brooks[ of Sunnyside, Newchurch, Staffordshire. Commemorated on the Tyne Cot Memorial, Belgium
TIPPER Pte 40295, 2nd East Yorkshire Regiment killed in action 13th October 1918 age 27. Son of James and Emily of Hanbury, Wood End, Burton on Trent. Buried in Lembet Road Military Cemetery, Salonika, Greece.
WATSON Pte 24302, 1st Grenadier Guards killed in action 2nd February 1917 age 24. Son of Thomas and Elizabeth Watson, of Hanbury Wood End Burton-on-Trent. Buried at Combles Communal Cemetery Extension, France
WHEAT Samuel, Cpl 242333, 1/6th North Staffs Regt killed in action 29th August 1917. Husband of S A Wheat of 4 Ludgate Street, Tutbury, Staffs. Buried in Philosophe British Cemetery, Mazingarbe, France.
