Born 28 April 1881at Ardnurcher County Westmeath Ireland to Reverend George Samuel and Mary Annabella Forbes Greer nee Johnson of Portaferry County Down. 1901 his widowed father was residing at 46 Main Street, Kircubbin, County Down. Rector of Ballyhalbert church of Ireland Church.
Educated at Campbell College, Belmont Road Belfast from 1895 to 1897.
1901 Stationed at Royal Artillery Clarence Barracks, Portsmouth, Hampshire aged 19 years. 2nd Lieutenant Royal Artillery.
Arrived in India with the R.G.A. and died at Rurki, India 5 October 1901 aged 20 years
