DAVIS Robert Private, 1360, 2nd Royal Warwickshire Regiment, died 26th August 1914. Native of Ashley, Kidderminster, Worcestershire. Enlisted in Birmingham of the 8th January 1909 occupation prior to enlistment was a farm labourer. His father Thomas was granted a war gratuity on the 24th September 1914. It appears that his father died and the gratuity was transferred to his mother, Mary on the 31st March 1919.
VICKERS Frank Henry. Driver (Sapper), 4/222/B, No.1 Field Coy, New Zealand Engineers, died of his wounds, 31st May 1915, aged 26 and not 19 years as stated by the CWGC. The age displayed by the CWGC came from records that were supplied to them from a military source when the stone was being engraved in 1915. Born 14th November 1889 to Henry and Caroline Vickers, of Brighton, England. Wills and Admin. Ancestry. He lived at 4 Gwydyr Mansions, Hove Sussex. Driver 1st Field Company Engineers, New Zealand Expeditionary Force died on date stated but not location. (It is shown as the Dardanelles and not Malta) His effects went to Archibald Vickers, manufacturer.

He joined up on the 31st May 1915 he gave his date of birth as the 14 November 1889, (registered in Steying, Sussex) occupation, a land agent. He previously served with the Sussex Yeomanry and then O.T.C at Dulwich, 214 Royal Field Artillery.
His next of kin was his father who lived at 4 Gwydyfr Mansion, Hove, Sussex. His next of kin was Archibald Vickers of 93 Drayton Gardens, London S.W.10 On the 31st May 1914 he died from his wounds which he received whilst in action at the Dardanelles.
