- F007 ALBAN JAMES THOMAS. Corporal, 984976, Royal Air Force (VR. Born 6 September 1919 at Cardiff, Glamorganshire to James Saunders and Margaret Jane Thomas nee Powell. Husband of Pearl Mary Thomas, nee Ling of Cardiff who he married in 1941 at Whitby, Yorkshire. On the 4 August 1934 he embarked from Portsmouth bound for Malta aged 16 years, scholar. His residence in Wales was Sandford Marshefield, Cardiff. Died 2nd July 1942 aged 22 years.
