Edie (Edith) BOTTOMLEY. Wife of Sergeant Thomas Collins Espar Bottomley, Kings Royal Rifle Corps died 15th September 1910 aged 32. At rest in Ta Braxia Cemetery, Malta. Their child died on the 6th September 1910 and is at rest in Pieta Military Cemetery. Why were they not buried together.
Thomas Collins Espar BOTTOMLEY was married on the 7th December 1907 aged 25 and a soldier to Miss Edith Caulfield aged 28 at St Mary's of Bethany of New Worsley, Leeds. His father was called, Walter, a musician Her father was called John, deceased and was a soldier . His brother Lancelot Hanson, witnessed the wedding. His first wife died in 1910 and he remarried in India to Edith Fanny at some date. On the 29th June 1916 aged 33 he was killed in action. He was now Company Sergeant Major 3165, A. Company, 13th King's Royal Rifle Corps. Born in 1883 at Bridge House, Yorkshire and lived at 142 Ramsden Road, Balham, London with his wife. He is at rest in Berles-Au-Bois Churchyard Extension, France.
