- Alfred Ernest BASSANO. Lieutenant, 1st Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry, only son of Major General Bassano, C.B. who was accidentally killed at Malta on the 6th December 1887 aged 27. Born in 1860 and baptised on the 12th November 1860 at Braddan, Isle of Man, son of Alfred and Mary, husband of Eliza Kinsman. At rest in Ta Braxia Cemetery, Malta.
(Wills and Admin, Ancestry) He lived at Coldharbour, Bobin, Cornwall. His effects went to his wife Eliza Kinsman Bassano, nee Benjamin, of Penalverne, Falmouth.
