BOSOMWORTH John Claughton. (Jackie) Petty Officer Motor Mechanic P/MX1943, Royal Navy, on His Majesty's Motor Torpedo Boat, (HMMTB),636 died at sea 15th October 1943 aged 21. Son of John Clarence, (baker) and Gertrude Bosomworth, of Manor Road, Easingwold, Yorkshire. Commemorated on the Portsmouth Naval Memorial, Hampshire.
BANYARD John Arthur William. Private 4389718, 4th Green Howards died 29th May 1940 aged 19. Son of John A. W. and Maud Banyard, of Malton, Yorkshire. At rest in Nine Elms British Cemetery, Belgium.
CLEAVER John Howell. Mechanic 1st Class D/KX90735 Royal Navy on HMS Bullen died at sea 6th December 1944 aged 31. Son of Edwin and Mary Ann of Easingwold, Yorkshire. His father served in the Great War as Sapper 82287. Commemorated on the Plymouth Naval Memorial, Devon.
COCKERLINE Frederick. Barkeeper, Merchant Navy of S.S. Sourabaya (Jersey) Born 26th March 1888 and died at sea 27th October 1942 aged 53. Husband of Nellie, commemorated on the Tower Hill Memorial, London.
DAWSON John Albert. Private 4751393, 2nd York and Lancaster Regiment died 25th November 1941 aged 25.Son of John Tom and Frances Mary Dawson, of Easingwold, Yorkshire. At rest in Tobruk War Cemetery, Libya.
DENHAM John Kenneth. Flight Lieutenant 69974, 62 Squadron, Royal Air Force, (VR) died 9th September 1943 aged 37. Son of John George and Margaret Denham, of Easingwold, Yorkshire. M.A., M.B., B.Ch. (Cantab.), B.Sc., L.R.C.P., M.R.C.S. At rest in Bhowanipore Cemetery Kolkata, Calcutta, India.
FENWICK G C (There are no military records to be found for G C Fenwick only the following who have a connection with Easingwold). Captain 126971, 149th Royal Armoured Corps, formerly 7th King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry died 30th July 1944 aged 25. Son of Gerard Cecil Dundas Fenwick and Jean Sharland Fenwick, of Easingwold, Yorkshire. At rest in Kirkee War Cemetery, India, (Wills and Admin, Ancestry) Robert Cecil Fenwick of The Galtres, Easingwold, Yorkshire died 30th July 1944 on war service. Probate, Llandudno, 27th October to Gerard Cecil Dundas Fenwick, no occupation.
FITZGERALD Thomas. Petty Officer D/J108132 Royal Navy on HMS Jaguar. Born 6th January 1907 at Easingwold died 26th March 1942 at sea. Commemorated on the Plymouth Naval Memorial, Devon.
GLAVES John. Sergeant, Pilot 655483, 150 Squadron, Royal Air Force. Shot down near Namur, Belgium 5th September 1942. Youngest son of John Edward and Mary Ann of Easingwold and brother of John Edward who fell in 1917.
