Born 1887. Served in France 23 February 1916. Resided at 'Brookside' 11 Church Street, Tewkesbury.
Put up for commission 22 June 1918.
Supplement to London Gazette dated 16 July 1918 -
War Office Territorial Force - the undermentioned from Officer Cadet Units to be 2nd Lieutenants 23 June 1918 - Gloucestershire Regiment - Cecil James Turner and five others.
Story of above posted in a shop exhibition in Main Street, Tewkesbury, opposite the War Memorial.
