Another aspect of the Cold War, that seen with todays eyes seems surreal: Alpha 66
Alpha 66 is the name of a group that is an anti-Castro group founded by 66 members in 1961. They were founded by Antonio Veciana Blanch and Eloy Gutierrez Menoyo. Antonio was also recruited by the CIA to assassinate Castro, however this failed. The group is one of many designated as a terrorist organization by the Cuban Gov't. These were taken around 1997 during an "exercise" in the Everglades. However nowadays groups like these have long since dissolved as the times have changed, as most of the members are deceased or are too old.

I don't think that at that stage the girls and boys were not too serious about attacking Cuba......so long term logistics were not really all that important.
