Intro New Contributor

I have been a member for a while but have only just started to contribute. Although I haven't served in the armed forces my family has a long record of military service.

Great Great Grandfather - Signalman on HMS Eclipse (Egypt 1882)
Great Grandfathers - Gunner RFA (KIA), Private Labour Corps and Seaman HMS Goliath (KIA) all WW1
Grandfathers - Corporal ACC/RTR (WW2), Private Royal Welch Fusiliers (1930's)
Uncles - Able Seaman RN (Cyprus, Suez), Corporal - Royal Hussars (NI)

and most recently my son an OM(C) in the RN who served with the Armilla Patrol in 2001 and with 148 Cdo FO Bty in Op Telic 2003.

What's my motivation? Family history in the main and a desire to share some of my findings and family memorabilia.
The web site has evolved superbly since I first set foot in here, great work IMO.
